Hello Summer
This weekend marked the start of many, many joys ahead of us this summer! Although I cannot describe the heat and humidity, I must admit that it is by far the most beautiful and fun time in New York City. The pictures below only captures 50% of the weekend which included a picnic in Central Park, cycling with the new CitiBike initiative to the Lower East Side (LES) for brunch at one of our favorites, Freeman's, and then cycling to the West Village thereafter for wine! The parts of the weekends that my pictures below does not display includes a sunset cruise around Manhattan with fellow international Deloitte employees, "more" Smorgasburg, drinks at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg - just voted as one of the Best New Hotels in the World - and also a stunning dinner with some Saffa friends at the famous Catch in the Meatpacking District.
Today a year ago a started a "permanent" life here. I'm not quite sure whether I'm supposed to be sad about how quickly time went by, or absolutely amazed at how incredible the journey has been this far.
