What happens in Vegas...
A few months ago I was in Las Vegas for one purpose and one purpose only - and that was to see Celine Dion in concert at the Ceasars Palace Colosseum. This was one of my biggest dreams since they've built the Colosseum exclusively for her performances in 2001 and I was absolutely determined to make this work. And was it the best concert I have ever seen!!! Definitely worth every single penny. I think the heading of this post is quite ironic... and I say this because even though I was in Vegas I did not gamble once or drink a drop. Therefore I'm more than happy to reveal every second of my time there...
Mostly I just walked around, possibly awkwardly staring at everything and everyone around me. The Strip is a mind blowing place and what was really confusing about it was walking out of a generously beautiful show like Celine's and then trying to not even think about the amount of "sin" that was happening around me. I would therefore conclude and say that Vegas has something to offer for everyone - depending on what you're looking for. The beautiful gardens and great food at the Wynn was right up my alley, as well as the shopping and a few photography exhibitions. A burger at Gordon Ramsay's BurGR restaurant was also at the order of the day. And I mean, who cannot love the fountain show at the Bellagio - breathtaking!
Although I would love to experience Vegas again with some friends in the future, I will gladly for now "tick" it of the list. I did it my way. And it was incredible.
